In addition to wind, Claus also reads precipitation and soil temperature, often looking back at previous dates to review the weather that occurred.

"The historical data is really good. It allows you to have specific numbers that you can go back and reflect on, comparing them to the work you did. What worked well and what didn't - it's a good way to gather experiences and act on them."

The spring weather has been good for Claus, especially for his peas, which have benefited from the alternating rainfall and warmth.

"The peas are next in line. They have received a really good amount of water. Now, we're just waiting for some dry weather so we can harvest them. And in about two weeks, it will be time to harvest the winter barley."
