How to replace your soil temperature sensor - v1

Tools:

1 Philips Screwdriver

1 Pointed object

1 Magnet

1. Open the box with the Philips Screwdriver

2. Switch off the battery

3. Press the terminal block and remove the wires

Use a pointed object to remove the individual wires for the ground sensor. They are color coded in the following order from left to right: Red, yellow, empty, black.

4. Unscrew the lower part of the screw fitting

5. Pull the old soil temperature sensor wire out of the hole.

6. Insert the new soil temperature sensor wire.

Feed the new soil temperature sensor through both parts of the screw fitting and then the 3 colour-coded wires through the hole in the box.

7. Connect the 3 colored wires to the terminal block

Follow the same sequence as you pulled them out, from left to right: Red, yellow, empty, black.

8. Screw the screw fitting to the bottom of the box.

9. Insert the battery wires again.

Insert the black and red wire into the grey terminal block.

10. Close the box and bury the soil temperature sensor

Use the Philips screwdriver to close the box and make a 10 cm deep hole in the ground where you can place the soil temperature sensor. Tie excess cable to the mounting rod with zip ties.

11. Turn on the station with the magnet.

Use the magnet to switch on the station by moving it in a circular pattern around the activation circle on the weather station.

You will receive data on your phone within approximately 10 minutes.

If the weather station is stuck in initialisation or cannot be turned on, repeat the previous steps without changing the battery, and wait at least 30 seconds from disconnecting power to reconnecting the battery.
